
We are delighted to share that the Green University Student Mentorship Program Committee (GUSMP), in collaboration with the Green Neural and Synaptic Intelligence Society (Genesis Club) of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (ADS), successfully organized an online discussion session titled “Chairperson Meets with First Semester Students for Pre-Midterm Guidance, Spring 2026.”
The event was held on Monday, 2nd March 2026, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM via Zoom. It was specially arranged for Batch 261 (1st Semester) students as they prepare for their first midterm examinations. The session aimed to provide academic guidance, exam instructions, and motivational insights. Faculty members and mentors were present to offer students valuable advice and preparation strategies.
The session began with an opening speech by Taher Mahmud Monmoy, ADS Mentor, who warmly welcomed everyone and shared key tips on approaching exams with confidence and proper planning. He also shared details about the Mentorship Program, Club activities, and their benefits. Additionally, he demonstrated how to download admit cards from the student portal and discussed exam-related regulations.
Following that, Md. Maruful Islam Maruf, Lecturer and Program Coordinator, Dept. of ADS, provided practical guidelines on exam-day procedures, as well as make-up, exam overlaps, and improvement exam applications. He emphasized the importance of bringing the admit card and carefully checking the exam schedule.
Afterwards, Dr. Muhammad Abul Hasan, Chairperson and Associate Professor, Dept. of ADS, addressed the students with an inspiring message about preparation, discipline, and honesty. He shared a motivational story on exam preparation and emphasized the importance of time management and academic integrity. He also explained the policies regarding make-up and improvement exams and how students can apply under valid circumstances. Dr. Hasan concluded by thanking all the faculty members, guests, and mentors for their contributions to the session.
The session wrapped up with an interactive Q&A segment, where students actively participated and shared their concerns. Faculty members and mentors responded with helpful insights, ensuring that students felt confident and well-prepared for their upcoming exams.
The event was smoothly conducted and hosted by Genesis member Wasif Iqbal, ensuring a professional and engaging flow throughout.
Overall, the session was a great success—filled with guidance, encouragement, and practical tips for academic excellence. It reinforced the importance of discipline, time management, and honesty, motivating students to give their best in their first midterm examination.
