Successful Completion of Freshers’ Orientation Program – Spring 2026 | Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

We are delighted to inform you of the successful completion of the Freshers’ Orientation Program 2026 for the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The program was organized by the GENESIS Club to warmly welcome the newly admitted students of the Spring 2026 semester.

The orientation program was held on February 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM in Room B-111, Green University of Bangladesh.

The Orientation Programme of the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (ADS) at Green University of Bangladesh marked a memorable beginning for the newly enrolled students. The event set a positive and inspiring tone as freshers embarked on their academic journey in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

The programme was conducted under the visionary leadership of the respected Session Chair, Dr. Muhammad Abul Hasan, Chairperson and Associate Professor of the Department of ADS. In his address, he warmly welcomed the freshers and introduced them to the department’s academic vision, goals, and expectations, encouraging students to embrace innovation, curiosity, and continuous learning.

The event was honored by the esteemed presence of Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Azad, Faculty of Science & Engineering and Director of IQAC, as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of discipline, adaptability, and technological awareness in today’s rapidly evolving world. He also highlighted how emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are shaping the future across various industries and research domains.

Throughout the programme, valuable guidance and support were extended by the faculty members of the department. This semester’s mentors, Taher Mahmud Monmoy and Bakul Ahmed, shared insightful advice to help freshers smoothly transition into university life. The session was further enriched by the presence of Ms. Wahia Tasnim, Lecturer and Mentor Moderator of ADS, along with Rakib Abdullah, Lecturer and Club Moderator of GENESIS, Shankha Shubhra Sarkar, Deputy Moderator of GENESIS Club, and Nahiyan Kadri Logno, Event Organization Secretary of GENESIS and Executive Member of GUBCPC. They provided essential programming guidelines and motivational insights to help students confidently begin their journey in the world of coding.

The programme was gracefully anchored by Samia Sikder, Publications Secretary of GENESIS Club, and Wasif, Joint Organizing Secretary of GENESIS Club, whose professional hosting ensured a smooth and engaging flow throughout the event. A warm flower exchange ceremony and a group photograph session added heartfelt and memorable moments to the day.

Organised by the GENESIS Club, the orientation programme successfully laid a strong foundation for the new students, fostering enthusiasm, confidence, and a sense of belonging. The event marked the beginning of a journey filled with learning, growth, and innovation for the students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science.
