Successful Completion of Freshers’ Orientation Program – Summer 2026 | Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

The successful completion of the Freshers’ Orientation Program - Summer 2026 for the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, organized by the GENESIS Club to warmly welcome the newly admitted students of the Summer 2026 semester. The program was held on June 13, 2026, at 11:30 AM in Room B-111, Green University of Bangladesh.

The program began on a spiritual note with recitations from the Holy Quran by Afarzul Islam (Batch 252). This was followed by a heartfelt welcome speech delivered by senior student Wasif Iqbal (Batch 250), who shared valuable insights from his academic journey and personal experiences at the university.

Wasif Iqbal introduced the esteemed faculty members of the ADS department, along with the club members.

The program was chaired by the Honorable Dr. Abul Hasan, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of ADS at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB). In his role as Session Chair, he warmly welcomed the freshers, introducing them to the department’s core values, long-term vision, and academic expectations. Dr. Hasan also expressed his sincere appreciation to the anchors, organizing committee, club moderators, mentors, club members, student volunteers, and faculty members for their dedicated efforts and cooperation in making the event a success.

The event was further graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, who attended as the Chief Guest and shared his valuable insights with the newly admitted students.

Following this, Mr. Maruful Islam Maruf, Lecturer and Program Coordinator of the Department of ADS, provided essential academic documents and guidelines to assist the newly enrolled students in navigating their academic journey. The session concluded with an engaging interactive Q&A segment, where freshers actively participated and received clarification on their queries.

Later in the program,Ms. Wahia Tasnim,Lecturer of the Department of ADS spoke about the Mentorship Program and Social Capital, emphasizing their crucial role in students’ academic growth and professional development.
